The transmission of KBOO to the Gorge area recently weakened dramatically.
KBOO radio’s station manager Dennise Kowalczyk will be at the White Salmon Library on Sunday at 3 p.m. for what organizers are calling “an old-fashioned town hall meeting” to discuss the recent weakening of the station’s signal in the Columbia River Gorge.
The non-profit radio station recently lost permission to broadcast at 92.7 FM and was forced to switch frequencies and reduce power by 85 percent. This change has left much of the Gorge unable to listen. Kowalczyk will expand on the events that led to the current situation, answer questions, and discuss future options and likely developments.
The White Salmon Library is located next to the Thriftway off Wauna Avenue in White Salmon.
