Vincent H. Orcutt, a longtime Hood River, Ore., resident died Sept. 28, 2005, at his residence. He was 88 years of age.
Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m.. at Anderson’s Tribute Center.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 30, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., and Monday, Oct. 3, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Anderson’s Tribute Center.
Vince was born Jan. 12, 1917, in Manitou, Colo., to Albert and Leona (Beck) Orcutt.
He came to Hood River at age three and was raised and educated here. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Following the war he returned to Hood River and worked at Hood River Distillers and in Real Estate sales.
Vince was a longtime member of V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was a former member of Toastmasters, the Elks and the Hood River Saddle Club.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being in the woods. His lifelong pleasures included his guitar playing and singing, drawing in charcoal, riding horses, playing cards and doing it all his way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, (Boots and Bob) and special granddaughter Annie Gandy.
Survivors include his wife, Judy, of Hood River, daughters Kim Loyd and her husband, Bert, of LaPine, Ore., and Roni Gandy and her husband, Ken, of Centerville, Wash.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, numerous nieces, a nephew and several cousins.
Interment will be at Mt. View Cemetery.
