The newly completed Hood River Fire Department fire hall has won silver in the Combination Paid/Volunteer Fire Station National Design Contest.
Portland architects, Group Mackenzie, who designed the building, applied on the behalf and Fire Chief Magazine gave us the Silver Award.
Fire Chief Devon Wells was happy to receive the recognition.
“Thank you to everyone that helped with the design, planning, building, and occupying this amazing fire station,” said Wells, whose staff were actively involved in evaluating the best use of space and design elements. The award and accompanying article will be published in the November Fire Chief Magazine.
