Police Log for April 10

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River March 13-April 2.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

March 18 — Cascade Avenue — A Hood River resident was arrested on the charges of assault IV and disorderly conduct II and lodged at NORCOR.

March 18 — Sieverkropp Drive — Officer took a cold assault call that had occurred the previous morning.

March 18 — Eighth Street — A male from The Dalles and a female from Hood River were victims of an assault by the female’s ex-husband.

March 30 — Wasco Street — A Hood River male was arrested for felony assault IV and lodged at NORCOR.

March 31 — Second Street, 100 block — A While Salmon resident was arrested for harassment after punching a security guard.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

March 13 — W. Cascade Avenue, 2600 block — A Hood River resident given written citations for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and driving without a valid operator’s license.

March 15 — 13th Street at B Street — A Hood River resident was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

March 16 — Second Street at Cascade Avenue — Hood River male cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

March 18 — W. Cascade Avenue, 2600 block — A Eugene resident was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and driving uninsured.

March 21 — Cascade Avenue, 2500 block — Male cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

March 23 — Jaymar park — A Hood River resident was cited and released for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

March 24 — Fourth Street at State Street — Female cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop.

March 25 — The Spit — A Colorado resident was cited and released for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

March 28 — Oak Street, 1500 block — Four Hood River teenagers were contacted regarding a traffic offense. One was cited for open container of alcohol and driving while suspended, violation. A second teen was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. All were released to adult guardians.

March 29 — Cascade Avenue, 3000 block — Washington resident cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

March 29 — Marina Way, 900 block — An Oregon female was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and three other traffic violations.

March 29 — 14th Street at A Street — Two females were arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. One was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a minor. Both were lodged at NORCOR.

March 31 — Hope Avenue, 1600 block — Female arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor. After further investigation an amended charge of unlawful delivery of marijuana was added. She was lodged at NORCOR.

April 1 — Second Street overpass — A Portland resident was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and cited for open container, alcohol and lodged at NORCOR. A Hood River resident was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and no operator’s license.

April 2 — I-84 at exit 62 — A California resident was arrested for unlawful possession of a schedule II prescription and tampering with drug records.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

March 17 — Fourth Street at Cascade Avenue — Officer dispatched to a disturbance and, after a brief investigation, a male was arrested for disorderly conduct II, criminal trespass II and harassment.

March 20 — Hope Avenue, 1600 block — Officer responded to report of a vehicle being keyed overnight.

March 20 — Fifth Street, 1600 block — A Washington male was arrested for trespassing and lodged at NORCOR.

March 22 — Wasco Street, 2700 block — Male arrested for disorderly conduct II and lodged at NORCOR.

March 25 — State Street, 700 block — A Hood River resident was arrested for criminal mischief II after slashing vehicle tires.

March 29 — Marina Way at Button Bridge — An Oregon male was arrested for disorderly conduct after impeding traffic and lodged at NORCOR.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

March 17 — Fifth Street at Oak Street — Female arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and lodged at NORCOR.

March 17 — Oak Street at Tenth Street — Male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and lodged at NORCOR.

March 20 — Cascade Avenue, 2400 block — A male driver passed out in the driveway of a local business, blocking an entrance bay. The male showed several signs of impairment and failed field sobriety testes. He was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and released to a relative.

March 23 — Wasco Street at 20th Street — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, alcohol.

March 27 — Belmont Drive at 18th Street — A Hood River resident was arrested for driving under the influence.

March 31 — I-84 at milepost 67 — A resident from The Dalles was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, alcohol, and cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, careless driving and failure to maintain lane of travel, and lodged at NORCOR.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

March 14 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — A Klickitat, Wash., resident was arrested for three counts of identity theft, three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and two counts of theft II.

March 21 — Prospect Avenue, 2200 block — Officer contacted a Hood River resident regarding the fraudulent use of her credit card.

n Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

March 16 — Cascade Avenue, 2200 block — An Oregon woman reported her car had been involved in a hit-and-run while parked at her workplace.

March 19 — 13th Street, 800 block — Female reported a hit-and-run occurring while her vehicle was parked in the main lot at a local hospital.

March 25 — Fifth Street at Cascade Avenue — Officer took a report of a cold hit-and-run incident that had occurred within the city limits in January.

March 25 — First Street at Oak Street — Female reported her vehicle has been struck during inclement weather in December. The person who struck the vehicle failed to provide required information and subsequently at a later date ceased all contact with her to pay for repairs.

March 29 — Belmont Avenue at 22nd Street — Officer responded to a non-injury motor vehicle crash. One of the drivers was cited for following too closely.

March 31 — Fourth Street at Oak Street — Officer responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

April 2 — 13th Street at Eugene Street — Officer responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

March 17 — State Street at 13th Street — A Hood River resident was arrested on a statewide warrant out of Benton County and was also given written traffic citations for a driving while suspended violation, driving uninsured and failure to signal turn.

March 19 — I-84 at milepost 63 — A Pasco, Wash., resident was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Washington State and for a restraining order violation, and lodged at NORCOR.

March 22 — Fifth Street, 1700 block — Officer assisted the Hood River Sheriff’s Office on a restraining order violation.

March 28 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Officer took report of a conditional release agreement violation which occurred March 17.

March 30 — Lincoln Street, 1500 block — Male arrested for violating a restraining order and lodged at NORCOR.

March 31 — Eighth Street, 1104 block — Officer took report of a possible restraining order violation.

April 1 — Eighth Street, 1700 block — Male arrested on an outstanding warrant and lodged at NORCOR.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

March 13 — State Street, 300 block — A theft of $20 from a vehicle was reported.

March 14 — Columbia Street, 400 block — A mountain bike was reported stolen off a vehicle.

March 17 — E. Marina Drive, 900 block — Officer took report of the theft of gas from a port area gas station totaling $53.

March 19 — Oak Street, 200 block — Officer contacted a downtown business regarding an ex-employee stealing product from the store.

March 20 — Eugene Avenue, 3100 block — Female reported her vehicle had been entered overnight and the registration card taken.

March 26 — Eugene Street, 2900 block — Female reported her vehicle had been broken into March 19 or 20 in the overnight hours.

March 26 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Officer responded to report from a local store regarding a female shoplifting multiple pairs of women’s underwear.

March 27 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Female cited for theft III after being caught stealing cosmetics and candy.

March 29 — 25th Street, 1000 block — Officer took report of an unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.

April 2 — 12th Street, 2000 block — An Odell resident was cited and released for shoplifting $322.88 in merchandise from his employer.

Other:

March 14 — Wasco Street, 1300 block — Officer attended an interview involving two minors.

March 20 — Dock Road, 2600 block — Citizen reported a bicycle on the bank of the Hood River near the walkway underneath I-84.

March 22 — Wasco Street, 1000 block — Female found a checkbook and a California ID card near the railroad tracks.

March 30 — 28th Street, 900 block — A Hood River resident reported a lost purse.

March 31 — A Street, 1600 block — Officer investigated a dog bite incident. A minor was bit in the leg while riding his bike.
