A truck crash Thursday afternoon caused a brief back up on Interstate 84 westbound between exits 62 and 63. The west bound truck suffered an explosive puncture of one of the cab’s passenger side tires. The passenger side of the cab then dropped, puncturing all of the remaining passenger side tires, as well as the fuel tank on that side. The truck leaked diesel fuel along the roadway before coming to a stop on the shoulder after taking out a chunk of guardrail. Oregon State Police, Hood River Fire and ODOT responded to help clean up the spill and manage traffic. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
