‘Wailing Wind’ plays Trout Lake
Portland roots-roadhouse band Ron Rogers & The Wailing Wind comes to the Trout Lake Country Inn on Saturday, July 20. The show is at 8 p.m. and the event is 21 and older only. Admission is $5. “Ron Rogers is well-steeped in the solid songwriting traditions of rock, blues and country, but applies a strong working-class sensibility to his lyrical craft.” The band, which features Dave Grafe on pedal steel guitar, has just released a new self-titled CD. Ticket discount available for Art Center volunteers
In an effort to say thank you, CAST and Columbia Arts are offering volunteer "rush tickets" just for the “Love, Loss and What I Wore” play on July 12, 13, 18, 19 or 20 at 7:30 p.m. or Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m.
If there are any seats available for a performance, the house manager will make $5 rush tickets available starting at 7:15 p.m. (1:45 p.m. for matinees). Simply tell the ticket salesperson that you are on the volunteer list and they will take your name and issue you a $5 ticket.
Eligible volunteers on the volunteer distribution list may purchase one ticket at the $5 rate during the run of the show. Rush tickets can not be reserved ahead of time and are based on demand and cannot be guaranteed.
Blues from David Vest July 27
David Vest and his All-Star Band will play the last music show at The Pines’ Second and State streets location on Saturday, July 27, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance for this 21-and-over only show. David Vest is an award-winning blues piano player who played with the Paul deLay band for many years. The Oregonian says Vest is “one of the finest on barrelhouse piano ... with a ferocity few possess.” Expect an all-star lineup of Northwest blues players for his backup band. Volcanic celebrates 3 years
Volcanic Bottle Shoppe is having its third anniversary party on Saturday, July 13. To thank the community for its support over the last three years, and into the future, there will be free live music from 4:30 p.m. till midnight.

8:30 p.m. – SmudgePot
Herbette, Hood River's new Mediterranean food cart, will be available and there will be some special beers on tap for the celebration. 21-and-over only.
