Mark Womble plays Dec. 20
Mark Womble and Friends will be playing at The Dalles Eagles Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 7 to 11 p.m. The band features Polly Norris on vocals, guitar and banjo; Dennis Williams on saxophone and clarinet; Mike DeMello on pedal steel and vocals; Mike Mutton on lead guitar and vocals; Paul Viemeister on bass, and Jose Maya on drums. The Dalles Eagles Lodge is located at 2006 W 7th St. and features the largest dance floor in the Columbia Gorge. There is a cover charge of $3 for members and $4 for non-members.

Kathryn Claire is part of a new generation of traditionally-inspired musicians. Her guitar and fiddle-playing exhibit a technical grace which is matched only by her truly captivating voice and her rare ability to move seamlessly across genres. Her deep love and respect for traditional music has long been a driving influence and those roots can be heard in her own original music.
Ashleigh Flynn grew up in Kentucky and cut her teeth on local bluegrass music. She arrived on the national scene in 2008 with the release of her third record, “American Dream,” and continues playing national and international stages with the release of “A Million Stars” in 2013. Gorge Winds concert Dec. 21
The Gorge Winds Concert Band will be presenting its annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. The concert will be held at the Civic Auditorium in The Dalles, located at the corner of Fourth and Federal streets. Suggested donation for the concert is $5.
This years’ concert will include arrangements including “A Most Wonderful Christmas,” “The Polar Express,” “Russian Christmas Music,” “Triptych for Christmas,” “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo,” and several other seasonal songs. This festive event is suitable for the entire family.

‘Hillbilly Christmas’ Dec. 22
Back by unpopular demand again, the Hapa Hillbillies present their annual irreverent Christmas show “It’s A Hillbilly Christmas” on Monday, Dec. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Volcanic Bottle Shoppe. Brew Fest at Meadows Dec. 20
Join Mt. Hood Meadows for its “Pray for Snow” Brewfest Saturday, Dec. 20. Twangshifters at CEBU Lounge

Acoustic Guitar Summit at Skamania Lodge Dec. 19
Skamania Lodge welcomes back the Acoustic Guitar Summit for a night of fingerpickin’ good tunes. The talented musical musings of the virtuoso guitar trio, Acoustic Guitar Summit includes Grammy winners Mark Hanson and Doug Smith, who also won the National Fingerpicking Championship, and Oregon Music Hall of Famer and Cascade Blues Association’s top acoustic blues guitarist, Terry Robb (pictured at left).
