The Lonesomes at CEBU Lounge
This week at CEBU Lounge:
Friday, Jan. 31: Albatross w/ Eliza Rickman 9:30 p.m. – Indie folk rock, feat. Ryan Sollee (of The Builders & The Butchers) and Cristina Cano (of Sallie Ford).
Ryan Sollee was asked to write the score for a musical play about a lonely dinosaur evolving into a beautiful Albatross. Recruiting his friends for that project led to his current project — featuring drums, viola and piano.
Saturday, Feb. 1: The Lonesomes w/ Riviera 9:30 p.m. – Mossy Northwest Americana
The Lonesomes are an “amazing new effort that contains shining elements of The Byrds, Tom Petty, Neil Young and the Allman Brothers. When you think about The Lonesomes, there's the feeling of the old West, not just in the band's name but in their sound and feel - something that put you in mind of tan chinos, shoe boots with spurs, shots of rye at the local saloon, and lots of dirt.”
Best Western Hood River Inn, 1108 E. Marina Way; 541-386-2200.
Liberty Bond Jug Band Feb. 1
The Liberty Bond Jug Band returns to Double Mountain on Saturday, Feb. 1. Show is at 9 p.m. The band has been working on new songs, new arrangements and promises a fun evening of pan-fried, ghost town jug-stomp blues. Double Mountain Brewery, 8 Fourth St., Hood River; 541-387-0042.
