The History Museum of Hood River County is calling for all actors interested in participating and portraying someone from this year’s list of potential characters for the 2014 production of Cemetery Tales.
Cemetery Tales is in its sixth year and takes place in September (dates TBA).
Actors interested need to complete an “I am Interested” form and submit it to Museum Coordinator Connie Nice by 4 p.m. Friday, March 21. The form can be found on the museum website on the Cemetery Tales page or by calling the museum office at 541-386-6772.
Actors ideally should have some previous acting or performance experience and be willing and able to participate in all aspects of character development including research, script writing and staging. Research and writing assistance is provided as needed and an acting coach will be involved in the final rehearsals as the performance dates approach.
This year’s performance will include seven graveside stations. The potential list of characters includes:
n Pearl Harrison Coons, born 1889; died 1910 at the age of 20
n Lt. James Lindsay Badley, born 1942; killed in action 1968 (Vietnam)
n Victor Rea Howell, born 1917; died 1936 at the age of 20; youngest Crag Rat; died during rescue attempt
n Harold or Fern Shake, 1890s; date of death unknown; pharmacist in Parkdale
