All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

Aug. 23 — Railroad Avenue — Officer responded to an assault in progress. One male was cited and released for assault IV and disorderly conduct II.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Aug. 17 — Second Street, 100 block — Two males arrested for possession of cocaine. One was also later charged with possession of methamphetamine and giving false information to a police officer.

Aug. 24 — Hood River — Hood River resident was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and cited for open container and failure to obey a traffic control device. Location unavailable.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

Aug. 20 — Cascade Avenue, 1500 block — Hood River resident arrested for criminal trespass I and disorderly conduct II and lodged at NORCOR.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

Aug. 17 — Hood River —Oregon male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and lodged at NORCOR. The vehicle was secured on the scene. Location unavailable.

Aug. 17 — Hood River —Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of controlled substances and an outstanding warrant. Location unavailable.

Aug. 22 — State Street, 300 block — Officer conducted a drug evaluation for the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office on a subject that had been placed under arrest for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Aug. 24 — Wasco Street, 1500 block — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Aug. 17 — Front Street, 200 block — Male contacted regarding someone hitting his RV in a parking lot.

Aug. 18 — I-84 at milepost 63 — Washington female stopped for failing to maintain lane of travel. Her driver status was suspended and the car was not insured. The car was subsequently towed from the scene.

Aug. 21 — 13th Street and State Street — Non-injury traffic crash reported.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Aug. 17 — Belmont Avenue — Female reported her ex-boyfriend contacting her when she had a protective order against him. The subject has a conditional release agreement no contact order from NORCOR.

Aug. 18 — State Street, 300 block — Juvenile arrested on a probation violation.

Aug. 18 — Montello Avenue, 1200 block — Hood River male arrested on outstanding warrants. He was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest and lodged at NORCOR.

Aug. 22 — Hood River — Weiser, Idaho, resident arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of Malheur County and lodged at NORCOR. Location unavailable.

Aug. 24 — Hood River — Male arrested on a probation violation. Location unavailable.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Aug. 18 — Cascade Avenue, 2600 block — Officer assisted the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office in a theft investigation.

Aug. 19 — Columbia Street, 200 block — Embezzlement of nearly $40,000 was reported taken by an employee over the last three years.

Aug. 19 — Hood River — Stolen bicycle recovered from a local male, who claimed another male had given it to him. The male in possession of the bike was also in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and charged accordingly. Location unavailable.

Aug. 20 — Front Street, 200 block — A gas station was robbed at gun point. The suspect fled with a deposit bag of cash.

Aug. 20 — Wasco Street, 1200 block — Theft from a local business reported after providing a customer with over $29,000 worth of equipment, which was paid for with a bad check.

Aug. 21 — Montello Avenue, 2700 block — Theft from vehicle reported. A small amount of money was taken.

Aug. 22 — 12th Street, 1400 block — Robbery reported.

Aug. 24 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Stolen purse reported.

Other:

Aug. 19 — AGA Road, 3300 block — Officer assisted the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office with an incident involving two gunshot victims.

Aug. 19 — Eugene Street — Male placed on a mental hold after making suicidal comments.

Aug. 22 — Nix Drive, 1200 block — Officer dispatched to some downed power lines.

Aug. 24 — Cascade Avenue, 300 block — Officer assisted Hood River Fire and EMS with a fall victim. The male subject was witnessed jumping over the concrete wall. The male was later Life Flighted to Portland with a serious head injury.
