Kay Floria at White Buffalo

Kay Floria will be the featured musician at the White Buffalo on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 6-8 p.m. Kay, an excellent keyboardist and vocalist, performs blues, ballads and jazzy tunes reminiscent of 40s and 50s female blues artists. ‘Quiet American’ at Springhouse

‘Cowspiracy’ kicks off Tofurky film fest Jan. 22

The Tofurky company kicks off its Winter Veg Film Fest with the award winning movie “Cowspiracy, The Sustainability Secret,” which will be shown at the Skylight Theater in Hood River at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22. The movie is a fundraiser for the Columbia Gorge Ecology Institute and connects the dots between our dietary choices and global warming. Fields of May play Jan. 24 in CL

Stevenson-based band Fields of May will play at Thunder Island Brewing in Cascade Locks on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. Band members include Dennis Morgan, lead guitar and vocals, Julie Mayfield on guitar and vocals and Jon Bennett on percussion.
