The radio stations of Bicoastal Media, Mid-Columbia Medical Center, and Griffith Motors are teaming up to help a Columbia Gorge family in need. Wheels Of Hope will provide a deserving family lacking transportation options a vehicle to help them meet their daily needs, along with other appropriate gifts to offer a hand up.
Nominations of worthy families and cash donations can be made at special Wheels Of Hope vehicle stops throughout the summer, starting at Griffith Motors in The Dalles on Saturday, June 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those attending the vehicle stops and making a donation will have the opportunity to autograph the vehicle. Nomination forms and other information will also be available online at Gorgeradio.com, kihramfm.com, 935kaci.com, newsradiokaci.com, kmswrocks.com, and kcgbfm.com. A panel of judges made up of representatives from Bicoastal Media, Mid-Columbia Medical Center, Griffith Motors, and representatives of agencies involved in helping families will select the family to receive the vehicle, which will be awarded on Saturday, Sept. 12. Along with Bicoastal Media, Mid-Columbia Medical Center, and Griffith Motors, Wheels Of Hope is also supported by Infinite Graphix, Maupin’s Stoves and Spas, Fix Auto, The Dalles Fruit Company, Andrew’s Pizza, A Kidz Dental Zone, McCoy Holliston Insurance in Stevenson, Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, Crestline Construction, Grocery Outlet, Cascade Eye Center, Ideal Homes, Emtech, NAPA Auto Parts in The Dalles, and Cascade Square Merchants.
