This year’s “Wheels of Hope” vehicle made a stop at Thursday’s Families in the Park event. Nominate a family in need of transportation now through mid-October, either at a special vehicle stop or at gorgeradio.com.

The radio stations of Bicoastal Media and Mid-Columbia Medical Center are teaming up again this year to help a Columbia Gorge family in need.

“Wheels of Hope” will provide a family lacking transportation options with a vehicle to help them meet their daily travel needs.

Nominations can be made at gorgeradio.com and on special “Wheels of Hope” vehicle stops — like a recent one at Families in the Park in Hood River, pictured above — from now until mid-October.

A panel of judges made up of representatives from Bicoastal Media, Mid-Columbia Medical Center, sponsors and representatives from agencies involved in helping families will select the winner, to be awarded on or around Oct. 20.

“Wheels of Hope” is additionally sponsored by the following: Infinite Graphix, Riverview Marble & Granite, Maupin’s Stoves and Spas, The Dalles Fruit Company, A Kidz Dental Zone, McCoy Holliston Insurance in Stevenson, Columbia Veterinary Hospital, Cascade Senior Care, Northwest Natural, Dean Dollarhide State Farm Insurance, Crestline Construction, NAPA Auto Parts in The Dalles, and Griffith Motors.
