Police Log, Jan.18 to 24

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

Jan. 18 — Cascade Avenue — Child abuse reported.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Jan. 22 — Hood River — Washougal, Wash., resident arrested on the charges of unlawful possession of heroin, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a schedule IV and tampering with physical evidence, and lodged at NORCOR. During the same incident, a Goldendale resident was arrested for unlawful possession of heroin and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

Jan. 18 — W. Cascade Avenue, 2700 block — Officers dispatched regarding a subject swinging a bat around in a parking lot. A Hood River male was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

Jan. 20 — E. Marina Drive, 900 block — Underwood resident arrested on the charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, parole violation, failure to carry and present a driver’s license, and reckless endangering, and lodged at NORCOR.

Jan. 23 — Hood River — Washington resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Jan. 23 — Hood River — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and lodged at NORCOR.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

Jan. 22 — Jeanette Road, 1600 block — IRS scam reported. The victim was able to retrieve his money order prior to it being shipped.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Jan. 20 — 13th Street near May Street — Officer responded to a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident.

Jan. 21 — Belmont Avenue, 1800 block — Female cited for failure to perform the duties of a driver.

Jan. 22 — Ninth and State — Vehicle vs. pedestrian accident reported.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Jan. 21 — Eugene Street near Rand Road — Officer dispatched on a report of a vehicle on its side. The investigation led to a residence, where a male had violated his probation and committed the crime of criminal mischief. He was later located and taken into custody.

Jan. 21 —13th Street, 200 block — Female arrested on outstanding warrants.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Jan. 19 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Lyle female cited for theft III.

Jan. 22 — May Street, 1600 block — iPhone reported stolen.

Jan. 24 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Hood River male cited for theft III.
