Kit Garoutte at White Buffalo
Performing at the White Buffalo on Thursday, April 13 from 6-8 p.m., it's guitar wizard Kit Garoutte. Kit is a soulful singer/songwriter whose fingers literally dance on the strings. The White Buffalo Wine Bar & Bistro, 4040 Westcliff Drive, Hood River.

Coming up at The Pines on Friday, April 14, 6-9 p.m.:
Kay Floria plays keyboard and sings blues, ballads and jazzy tunes. Her style is reminiscent of the women blues artists from the ‘40s and ‘50s.
Friday, April 21, 6-9 p.m.:
The Pale Ales are a three piece acoustic folk-rock band playing covers and originals, incoporating three-part harmonies and melodic guitar solos. Rob Guidera on guitar and vocals, Glen Holmberg on guitar and vocals, and George Bentz on bass guitar.

Free Hugger at Kickstand
Free Hugger (Andy Roof, Marge Gale and Sam Bauer) will be playing at Kickstand this Friday, April 14 from 6-9 p.m. Singer Marge Gale recently returned from a trip to Guatemala with high school students from the The Dalles and they were dispensing water filtration kits to families with no access to clean water. The band will have a tip jar asking for donations towards additional filtration kits.

‘Keepers of Faith’ April 23
Tucker Road Baptist Church, 1455 Tucker Road, Hood River, is hosting a free concert on Sunday, April 23 at 6 p.m. with southern gospel quartet "Keepers of the Faith." Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served following the concert.
Earth Day at Discovery Center
Celebrate Earth Day at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center on Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 5000 Discovery Drive, in The Dalles.
Take a native plant walk with expert Barbara Robinson and hear about the restoration project of planting and selective weeding that revived the 54-acre museum grounds. Kids can enjoy hands-on crafts that will celebrate the earth and teach them to be a good steward of the planet.
Learn about electric cars from the Oregon Electric Vehicle Association. Rowena Wildlife Clinic will share how they heal and rehabilitate wildlife to return injured animals to their native habitat. Tri-County Hazardous Waste & Recycling will also be on hand to share information.
