“March 4 Trump” supporting President Donald Trump happened March 4 at Overlook Memorial Park on State Street, attended by about 20 people. Organizer Loran Ayles said, “The event was actually one of only two nationally sanctioned events held in the entire state of Oregon. Supporters showed up from relatively far-away places such as Stansfield, Hillsboro, and a family who traveled all the way from the Tri-Cities. Attendees included families, women, children, students, business owners, and war veterans. We are fighting to once again unite our country and move past partisan politics that have stalled our country’s forward movement. It was very interesting that there were ‘Anti-Trump’ protesters rumored to show up and refute the Trump Rally. A total of three of those types of people showed up, yet both sides were able to talk among one another and have civil dialog about differences and things in common. There were no negative words said that I ever heard and the engaging discussions were very informative in relation to all ‘sides.’”
