Jacob Leigh Murray
February 26, 1978 - December 2, 2009
Jacob Leigh Murray, 31, passed away Dec. 2, 2009, in Wenatchee, Wash. He was born in Hood River, Ore., on Feb. 26, 1978.
Jacob spent most of his life growing up in Portland, Vancouver, and Spokane, before finally settling in Wenatchee. It was there that he met the love of his life, Carrie Reyna. They married the day after high school graduation and had three beautiful girls: Halie, Sydney and Jylian.
Jacob wore many hats: He worked in auto parts, construction and office work, but found his final joy in driving bus for the city of Wenatchee, where every passenger knew his name.
Growing up Jacob always called Hood River home, with his dad and stepmom Mike and Barbara Murray, his brothers Cody and Chris and his grandfather, Elmer. He attended high school here his junior year and made many friends. He did move back for a short while and worked for Anderson-Williams, but eventually moved back to Washington.
He loved movies, was an avid reader, and enjoyed skateboarding, fishing, the NFL, and fantasy football. But his biggest joy was comic books; many rare and one-of-a-kind copies.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie; daughters Halie, Sydney and Jylian; father and stepmom Mike and Barbara Murray; mother Selena Rushton; brothers Cody and Chris; sister Bethany Flint; brother- and sister-in-law Michael and Erin Reyna; and in-laws Manual and Ann Reyna.
To help the family donations may be made to the Jacob Murray memorial fund at Key Bank.
