Hood River Pride Parade

Part festival, part solemn memorial, the first Pride Parade in Hood River drew a crowd of closeto600people,including about 300 marchers, numbers that surprised organizers with Columbia Gorge Pride Alliance. Participants included Portland Pride royalty , and local groups including Gorge Roller Girls, Eastern Oregon Center Independent Living, and Hood River Valley High School marching band, along with businesses, churches, community groups, and plenty of individuals who walked, biked or rode down Oak and up to Second and State, where a brief rally followed.
